There is a set of "rules" for cycling that you can find on the internet. It's a brilliant mix of facts and fiction, and that inspired the name. We think no. 35 is a bit sketchy as well.
We are the designer and manufacturer, not just a company that stamps their name on a product and resells it.
Helmet mirrors are a great accessory for any type of rider that spends any time on the road. After trying them all, we designed it to fix all the issues we encountered. Here is what we like about it:
First off, it's rigid. That's not the revolutionary part, but it's a big deal.
Typical helmet mirrors have joints for adjustment. That seems like a good idea, but it takes time to get a mirror aimed perfectly and it's a pain when you have to repeat the process every time something bumps it. They can also shift position from wind or vibrations while you're riding.
Being rigid, No. 66 stays where you aim it. After initial setup you simply don't have to mess with it (mostly... if your dog gnaws on it or you sit on it you may have to tweak it a little).
Second, and perhaps more important, it’s instantly detachable.
For part of the cycling world, a mirror isn’t a safety feature and should be avoided. It's the legitimate basis for the rule. Road racing or training in a group or paceline (where your mental focus should be on the rear tire 6" in front of you) is that example. Riding trails where a helmet mirror can snag low-hanging brush is another.
We ride everything, so we made it detachable and hassle-free. You can stick it in your pocket without missing a pedal stroke, and It’ll still be aimed when you snap it back on.
